A few days in India
One of the great joys of reading is the ability to travel the world in books. I spent the last few days immersed in India, reading The Splendor of Silence by Indu Sundaresan, which was a fascinating tale that opened my eyes to a society I knew little about. The story is a compelling combination of war-torn adventure and forbidden love amid the emerging nationalism and prejudice of colonial India during World War II.
